Truck Pull Rules
Classes:
Light Class - 6500 lb and under - Pays $400, $200, $100
Heavy Class - 6501 lb to 9500 lb – Pays $400, $200, $100
- All General apply.
- Truck transmission must be in neutral or park while the strap is being hooked and unhooked. Do not engage transmission until directed to move by official.
- Best of three pulls wins.
- Pulls will be 5 feet.
- All tires must be DOT approved.
- One buy back per truck in first round only.
- Winner of each pull must weigh back immediately, not to exceed 6530 lb in light class and 9530 lb in heavy class.
- Disqualification will result for exceeding allowable weight.
- Thirty inches (30”) maximum draw bar height.
- Must supply sufficient hitch equipment as determined by tech officials.
- One inch (1”) diameter hole in draw bar for strap connection.
- Driver is responsible for the safety and actions of any passengers.
- No passenger(s) in the rear of the vehicle for safety reasons.
- Crossing a side boundary line will result in one warning up to the loss of a pull. A repeat offense will forfeit the series of three pulls, official’s decision final.
- Drivers must start and stop pulling at the direction of the lights and officials.
- One driver per truck, no switching drivers after pulls start.
- No retreads allowed.
- Truck must be legally registered as a pickup truck or SUV or reasonably could be registered as such in the opinion of the tech officials.
